Yurihama may be a small town, but a surprising amount of excitement awaits visitors. The neighboring town Kurayoshi features a lively entertainment district as well. The Tottori Prefecture offers many exciting things for travelers to experience, but this page focuses mostly on the Yurihama/Kurayoshi region.
Hot Springs
Deep beneath the waters of the brackish Lake Togo is a hot spring. The waters are pumped up to facilities surrounding the lake. Many elegant facilities exist for travelers who want to enjoy the soothing waters. Foot baths line the roads of the Hawai Hot Springs.
OutdoorsHike up to the reconstructed Ueshi Castle and see a magnificent vista. Pick and eat Yurihama's 20th century at designated u-pick areas in the mountains at the edge of town. Swim and hike around the beach and the many nearby hills and trails. If you like the outdoors, Yurihama is a great place to visit.

Museums
Yurihama and Kurayoshi feature several interesting museums. The 20th Century Pear museum in Kurayoshi covers every aspect of how Yurihama became renowned for Asian pears. The Hawai Historical museum (appointment only) holds ancient artifacts.
Nightlife
Kurayoshi's Age district bustles with activity late into the night, and features several places to eat and drink.
Some personal favorites:
Limestone (on the first floor of the Tsumura Building, just across the street from Kurayoshi Station). Enjoy jazz, a variety of cocktails and spirits, and a cozy atmosphere.
No Side
For a conversation about Rugby or just a nice place to drink No Side is also a fun place to relax.
Enchoen
One of the largest Chinese gardens in Japan, Enchoen draws thousands of visitors to the Lake Togo area. In addition to the garden, there are daily shows featuring Chinese acrobatics. Costume contests also liven up the venue.
